The Terri Koller Kaplan Memorial Fund
Helping to providing Scholarship assistance into SCC programming
Terri was a loving mother and wife, as well as a caring clinical social worker and human rights activist.
This strong woman fought against small cell lung cancer for six years, taking an active role in her own health and the health of others by exploring many different avenues for healing.
In January of 2004, her quest led her to the Simonton Cancer Center.
Terri became a strong supporter of the Simonton Program. Her goal was to share the information she learned with as many people as possible. After her experience with the Simonton Cancer Center, Terri would periodically call and offer to help pay program fees for patients in financial need.
In honor of Terri’s beautiful and courageous life, her son, Ross Koller, created the
Terri Koller Kaplan Memorial Fund
Cancer is an expensive disease. Few patients can afford all the care they need or want.
This fund is designed to assist patients in financial need that wish to participate in the Simonton Program. One hundred percent of your donation will go toward patient-care.
This fund will also allow the family and friends of cancer patients to donate money directly to the Simonton Center for payment of a loved one’s program, thus reducing the amount of the patient’s out of pocket expenses. In addition, it helps to fund the Simonton Cancer Center’s phone counseling and individual work, for patients who are unable to travel to receive services.
The Terri Koller Kaplan Fund is under the umbrella of the Simonton Cancer Center, a 501c3 charitable trust.
